Construction work on Stamper Lane in Godfrey has wrapped up and the roadway is now open again to through traffic.  The contractor beat the deadline by a few days, and opened up just in time for tonight's Godfrey Snowflake Festival at Glazebrook Park.  The event runs this evening from 6-8 and is free.

The roadway improved a stretch of Stamper in front of Camelot Subdivision to the entrance to Glazebrook Park.  It also added a new bike and walking path that connects the park to the new ball fields to the east.   Additional work on Stamper Lane is expected to be on the construction calendar when more state road money is available, possibly in the 2017 fiscal year.
