The Stamp Out Food Drive is Saturday. The National Association of Letter Carriers and the United Way are teaming up to promote the food collection drive that will take place at your mailboxes, so make sure your donation is out in a plastic bag tomorrow morning.

United Way spokesman Natasha Day says local food pantries will benefit from the collection:

Non-perishable foods liked peanut butter; canned soups and meats are needed, along with boxed foods like pastas and meals.  No glass jars, frozen foods, or produce will be accepted during the food drive.  Have those donations at your mailbox by 8am tomorrow.  If you miss it, you can still sit it out on Monday morning, to drop it off at any local food pantry.
