Illinois' budget impasse has forced Alton's Senior Services Plus to cut services and staff, and it's now suing Governor Bruce Rauner.  SSP has joined with dozens of other social services agencies to file the suit in an attempt to collect on a combined $100-million in overdue payments that have stacked up over the last 10 months without a budget in place.

SSP Executive Director Jonathan Becker tells The Big Z they are asking to be compensated for their work.
