Construction on the second phase of the Bethalto Sports Complex is in it’s final stages according to Bethalto Mayor Alan Winslow. Grading work on all the fields has been finished and he says work on the last major part of the project should begin next week.

Construction has progressed as expected over the last year despite some inclement weather according to Winslow. He also says the project has also come in at least $100,000 under budget, which he credits to the work of Public Works Director Jay Kilmer. Winslow expects the fields to be ready for use in the spring of 2015.
