The Jersey County State’s Attorney has asked a special prosecutor to look into an alleged incident between a Grafton City Council member and a Grafton Police Officer.  The alleged incident took place December 27, about the time police were getting involved in the search for a missing woman.

The Big Z reached out to Jersey County State’s Attorney Ben Goetten who declined to comment on the case but confirmed that he had asked the Illinois Appellate Court’s Office to assign a special prosecutor to look into the matter.  It is alleged that Grafton Alderwoman Flo Rowling pushed Grafton Police Officer Peggy O’Neil while at City Hall.  O’Neil was not in uniform at the time of the incident.
