The SNIP Alliance is returning to the Riverbend this weekend and again next month to spay and neuter pets at a greatly reduced price. The two-day events are being held at the Alton Animal Control Office at #2 Emma Kaus Lane. It is by appointment only, and the cost is only $10 for dogs up to 50 pounds and cats.
SNIP President Sandra Eaves says they have fixed over 1,200 pets in the last 18 months, and the money has come through to add more to that number.
You need to make an appointment, and openings are limited. To do so, call 402-6565. Preference will be given to Madison County Residents on food stamps or Social Security Disability. Again, the first clinics are today and tomorrow.
