Road crews have been out overnight, and with temperatures around the freezing point, there could be scattered slick spots especially on untreated roads, and elevated surfaces likes bridges and overpasses for your morning commute. A Winter Weather Advisory has expired and the sun could pop out before the end of the day.
The snow should not be a problem, with between 2-3 inches on the ground on average across most of the River Bend with 2 inches in Godfrey and Roxana, Elsah and Brighton reporting 2.5 inches, and a Wood River storm spotter calling in 3 inches of snow. In St. Clair and Monroe Counties to our south, there were reports of 4 inches of snow or more. Lambert Airport in St. Louis reports 1.8 inches of snow on Monday.
