Heneghan and Associates is the Small Business of the Year as named by The Riverbend Growth Association. The honor was handed out as part of the RBGA Annual Dinner at Lewis and Clark Community College. Heneghan and Associates was named one of the twelve Small Businesses of the month last year.

Company founder Dean Heneghan accepted the award on behalf of the company.  Also honored last night was the RBGA Ambassador of the Year, Amy Schaake from the Edwardsville Intelligencer, along with retiring ambassadors Pam Whisler and Jackie Parks. Ambassadors are volunteers who work various RBGA events like the Business After Hours, Networking events and fundraisers. Don Reedy, CEO of 1st MidAmerica Credit Union was honored for his service to the RBGA and business community with a Chairman's Award. Brett Stawar of the Alton Regional Convention and Visitor's Bureau honored the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers and the Riverlands Migratory Bird Sanctuary with Spirit of Tourism Awards for their efforts in bringing visitors to the region.
