The Interim Chancellor of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville has announced a plan to realign the school’s budget by 9-percent. During the annual chancellor’s address on Tuesday, Stephen Hansen told the audience the school cannot afford to wait for Springfield to take action.
Hansen was referring to the Illinois budget stalemate that has state university budgets in limbo.

He also stressed that unlike other state universities; spring semester classes would not be impacted by the budget plan.
