Black Nova, the solar car built and operated by students from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville has returned to campus with a couple of awards from a recent race. The SIUE Solar Car team finished 13th in the American Solar Challenge Formula Sun Grand Prix and also won the fastest stop award in the dynamics break test.
Dr. Andy Lozowski, professor of electrical and computer engineering at SIUE, says it’s a great honor to win the awards. He says it’s also a great experience for the students.
