If you area student or a parent of a student at SIUE, you will be dealing with a tuition and fee increase for the 2015-2016 school year. In addition to tuition, the changes will affect fees including information technology, intercollegiate athletics, and textbook rental. Tuition will go up 5 percent, which would result in a $366 increase over last year for newly entering, in-state undergraduates on the Edwardsville campus.
The 5 percent increase would amount to a total of $7,662. Scott Belobrajdic, Associate Vice Chancellor of Enrollment at SIUE tells The Big Z increases are considered every year.

The textbook rental fee will now be $16.30 per credit hour, which is a $3.30 increase. A full-time undergraduate student would pay an Intercollegiate Athletics fee of nearly $353, which is an increase of $11.50. Other fee changes were approved for the Student Welfare and Activity Fee, Facilities, the Morris University Center and resident meal plans. Housing rates are also on the rise.
