The Southern Illinois University Board of Trustees approved a plan that identifies options regarding the future use of campus parcels. Facilities Master Plan 3 is a 10-year road map-like projection for the campus that remains consistent to the original vision for the University. Executive Director of University Marketing and Communications at SIUE Doug McIlhagga tells The Big Z the overview for what the plan is shooting for.
He says this has been on the radar for the College of Arts and Sciences for quite some time as the current capacity on campus is not quite where they would like it to be. Projects include: an academic performing arts complex, an engineering student project building, an ITS computing center, a health science complex, a science building north, and an admissions building and welcome center.
