The strike at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale is over. The Faculty Association has reached a tentative deal with school administrators. Details haven't been revealed but SIU Chancellor Rita Cheng says final documents will be signed in a few days.

Cheng comments

Union members were on strike for one week before reaching an agreement with school administrators, but they were back in the classroom Thursday. It's the first contract the union has had in almost a year-and-a-half.
