A Creve Couer, MO golfer is nursing a dislocated shoulder after being swallowed up by a fairway sinkhole.  Mark Mihal says he was standing in the middle of the 14th hole fairway at the Annbriar Golf Course in Waterloo last week, when the ground opened up and he fell in.  He says the sinkhole was a bell shape about 18 feet deep and ten feet wide.

Onlookers managed to get a rope and ladder down to him to hoist him up, but because of the shoulder injury a fellow golfer volunteered to go down to help.  He was pulled to safety about 20 minutes later.   Just two weeks ago a Florida man died after he was swallowed up by a huge sinkhole that opened beneath his bedroom.
