The saga of Man vs. Nature continues on a too-shallow stretch of the Mississippi River in Southern Illinois.  Lieutenant Governor Sheila Simon explains what the goal is for the river just north of Cairo.

Simon comments

Excavation has taken the place of blasting lately, and some water from Carlyle Lake has been released.  Simon hopes these remedies are sufficiant without trying another release of Missouri River water.
