If you have sensitive documents that need to be shredded rather than just thrown away, the Better Business Bureau may be able to help you out.  From 8am – noon this Saturday, the BBB is hosting shredding events at the Edwardsville Schnucks and at the St. Louis Galleria in Richmond Heights.

It’s the spring Shred Day, and Better Business Bureau Investigator Bill Smith tells The Big Z you can shred up to three boxes of documents.  They prefer you bring them in boxes or bags that can be shredded along with your papers.

Smith recommends shredding any documents that contain financial information, account numbers, PINs, birth dates or Social Security numbers.  Examples include expired ID cards, legal documents, credit card and bank statements and canceled checks
