Today is Small Business Saturday, a growing promotion first pushed by a large business but the movement is catching on across the country including some shops in the River Bend. It's a day to encourage spending holiday shopping money at locally owned and operated businesses like gift shops, restaurants, florists, hardware stores and even with local service providers like beauty shops, attorneys, and mechanics.
