Republican U.S. Congressman John Shimkus of Collinsville does not believe the recent multi-national agreement with Iran over that country's nuclear program was a good one. Shimkus says the pact did not stop Iran from enriching uranium, it just put a cap on it, and he was also troubled by so-called secret negotiations that took place with American diplomats.

Shimkus says both Republicans and Democrats are skeptical of the deal and it remains to be seen if Iran can be trusted to even let international inspectors into the country to monitor their nuclear program.
