Illinois is not known for earthquakes, but they can happen here. And the state is one of nine participating in a drill Feb. 7.  It’s called the Great Central U. S. ShakeOut. Patti Thompson, spokeswoman for the Illinois Emergency Management Agency, says more than 250,000 Illinoisans participated last April in the inaugural event.
