A man wanted in connection with a sexual assault in Collinsville last week has been arrested in Tennessee. 50 year old Jerry Sutt of Madison was taken into custody on Monday after being sought by the Madison County Sheriff's Department and U.S. Marshals for nearly a week. Sutt allegedly tied up two people, raping a woman at a home in rural Collinsville last Wednesday night.
Authorities say Sutt was armed with a handgun at the time of the incident and restrained the victims before assaulting the female. She was treated at a St. Louis hospital after the incident and Sutt fled the scene before police arrived. He was arrested by the Williamson County, Tennessee, Sheriff's Department during a traffic stop on Monday. He is being held in lieu of $500,000 bond.
