September is off to a cold start.  The average temps across the state came in around 67-degrees this past week - about three-degrees below normal.  State Climatologist Jim Angel says some states are already getting hit with freezing weather but we won't see that for at least a few more weeks.

 Some areas have already seen a good down pouring of rain this month.  Parts of western and central Illinois got between three and eight inches of rain over the past week.
