A Granite City woman will spend 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to one count of drug induced homicide following the December 2012 death of Dylan Hartman. 42-year old Debra K. Nelson pleaded guilty to that single charge in November 2013. Police allege that she sold liquid methadone to a co-defendant, Gregory D. DeForest Jr., who then gave it to Hartman. Nelson will be required to serve 75% of the sentence handed down by Judge James Hackett.  The case against DeForest is still pending.
