U.S. Senator Mark Kirk is recovering from surgery after suffering a minor stroke.  Northwestern Memorial Hospital neurosurgeon Dr. Richard Fessler says Kirk went under the knife at a Chicago hospital early this morning to relieve swelling to his brain.





Fessler says the stroke will affect some of U.S. Senator Mark Kirk's bodily functions.
