Illinois U.S. Senator Dick Durbin is hopeful a budget deal can be reached sometime this week. Durbin is the number-two Democrat in the Senate.  He tells ABC's "This Week," negotiations are moving in the right direction and he and he doesn't think a deal hinges on extending unemployment benefits.

Durbin says he does hope though, that negotiators consider the unemployed families who need a helping hand.
