Police in Collinsville are investigating the discovery of a body inside a dumpster on Monday.  It was the second body found in the city in the last five days, but police say the two deaths do not appear to be connected.  Police have also ruled out foul play in both cases but the deaths remain under investigation.

The body of 48 year old Douglas Delashmit of Collinsville was found Monday morning in a dumpster at a storage unit business on North Bluff Road.  Last Wednesday afternoon, police discovered a body near the giant Catsup Bottle off Highway 159.  That person was identified as 27 year old Zachary Schellenberg, but an autopsy was inconclusive as to a cause of death so additional testing will be done and reported by the Madison County Coroner.  An autopsy will also be conducted on Delashmit to determine a cause of death.
