The Illinois State Board of Education says revamped school report cards should give a better snapshot of how your local public schools are performing. The new and improved report cards include standardized test scores, student and teacher demographics, athletics and special courses offered, awards and after school care programs says Alton School District Assistant Superintendant Kristie Baumgartner.
According to the new online records, more than half of the students in Bethalto are meeting state testing standards. 43-percent of the students in Alton are, in Roxana that number falls to 37-percent, the same as in the East Alton - Wood River district .
