The Alton School District is putting the wraps on its remodeling project at North Elementary School on Godfrey Road. The interior of the building will see some changes, but Plant Facilities and Maintenance Administrator Dave McClintock says bulk of the work involves putting a new roof on the aging building.

All of the former middle school buildings have undergone construction projects over the last couple of years as they were transformed into elementary centers. McClintock says the school will be ready to welcome students when classes begins, but there will still be a few odds and ends being taken care of by the maintenance department.
