U.S. Rep. Aaron Schock (R-Peoria) says Edward Snowden, the man who went to the press to tell of the NSA reviewing phone records of American citizens, is a villain.
“I believe this man has committed treason. We’ll see what the courts say about that, but anybody who goes out that will put our country in harm’s way and aid and abet terrorists I think is treasonous,” Schock said Monday to the City Club of Chicago.

Schock says there are ways that this individual could have called the situation to the attention of Congress without blabbing the details to the world, and if there aren’t, there should be. The unmasked leaker is said to be in Hong Kong, and may seek protection in Iceland. He is under investigation but has not been charged with a crime.
