Some people across the state have been receiving bogus phone calls, emails, and text messages claiming their utility services will be disconnected unless they make a payment. In some cases, there are even people knocking on doors, threatening to shut off their service unless the customer hands over money. Better Business Bureau Investigator Bill Smith urges customers not to fall for the scam.
