Scammers are at it again and this time they are targeting Ameren customers. Ameren Illinois officials say they are investigating the situation after receiving reports from customers who say they have been duped into paying bogus energy bills after receiving emails or phone calls that appear to be from Ameren.
Ameren Illinois Spokesperson Marcelyn Love says the emails and calls asking for personal information should raise a red flag with customers.
