The local Salvation Army's Tree of Lights campaign is well underway, but the organization is still looking for more volunteers to ring bells this holiday season. The kettles are outside most major shopping centers in the region, as well as department stores, grocery stores and drug stores.

Alton Salvation Army Lieutenant Teri Ellison believes they will reach their goal of $114,000.

The fund raising goal this year for the local Salvation Army is $6,000 higher than last year's mark. Ellison says that you can volunteer by calling their office at 465-764 or you can sign up visiting  Z-1570 will host its Children's Day broadcast tomorrow from 6 am until noon.
