An Asian-American is going to be on the ballot with Dan Rutherford. Rutherford will make an official announcement soon but, yesterday he Tweeted out a few clues about his running mate. He says the man lost a bid for Illinois Attorney General back in 2010.
That’s a strong indication that Steven Kim is Rutherford’s lieutenant governor choice. He was beat out by Lisa Madigan back in 2010. If he’s elected with Rutherford, Kim will be the first Asian-American to hold a statewide office.
