The Oasis Women's Shelter in Alton recently accepted a $1,000 donation that will go to the organization's "Life Support Fund," which helps women and children at the shelter get access to the so-called small things that have a direct impact on their lives. The money is courtesy of a donation from the Rotary Clubs of Bethalto, East Alton, The Riverbend and Wood River.
Riverbend Rotary Club President Lori Ehlers says the Oasis Women's Shelter is a worthy cause.
