A mother from Rosewood Heights is facing multiple charges after Madison County deputies found her two-year old daughter in the middle of an intersection Sunday morning. Authorities say they found the young girl, walking alone, wearing nothing but a diaper in the intersection of 9th Street and East Airline Drive. After recovering the child, police located her mother, 24-year old, Krystal J. Rushing of 11 Fern Lane and placed her in custody. Rushing had allegedly left her other child, a 1-year old, alone in their residence to search of the missing girl. She has been charged with two counts of child endangerment and one misdemeanor count of possession of cannabis and is being held on a $3000 bond. The children have been placed in the custody of relatives.
