A road project that was completed more than two months behind schedule continues to cause headaches for village officials in Bethalto. The second phase of the Roosevelt repaving project was completed in November but will have to be redone after cracks have appeared in the section of the road stretching from Meadow Drive to Moreland Road. Public Works Director Joe Ricci says they haven't identified a cause.
He says that the entire section of the road will be repaved in the spring. However, he does not expect the entire road to be shut down and crews will only work on one side of the road at a time.
