As state officials continue to push measures that will cut the number of Illinois' regional offices, Madison County Regional Superindendent of Schools Bob Daiber is heading to Chicago to get the money the employees are owed. Diaber will meet with members of the Illinois House Education Appropriation Committee and ask for an appropriation of $13-million to cover the salaries of regional superindendents.

The General Assembly reviewed a study on April 3rd that reccommends cutting the number of regional offices from 44 to 35, a move that would save the state close to $1.5-million in gross salaries.
