Alton Police continue to comb through evidence in the most recent robbery at the Laclede Community Credit Union in North Alton.  For the second time in four months, a lone robber has gotten away with an undetermined amount of cash after holding up the facility located next to Gent Funeral Home on State Street.

Alton Police Chief of Detectives, Lieutenant Scott Golike, says there are a lot of similarities between the two robberies.

Golike comments

The suspect is described as a black male in his late 20's wearing all black clothes, including a long black coat, and a black hat covering a long, curly wig.  He is said to have implied he was armed, but never showed a weapon.  If you know anything about this robbery, call 463-3505 or the Alton Police Department's anonymous tip line at 465-5948.
