A pair of projects in the Riverbend have caught the attention of the Madison County Board and prompted the expansion of the Riverbend Enterprise Zone. The expansion includes Quality Buick GMC Cadillac in Alton, who plan to renovate and reimage their dealership and Grewe Inc.'s plan to develop the Bethalto Landing along Route 111 in Bethalto.
Madison County Board Chairman Alan Dunstan says that this decision will make those projects more affordable for developers.
Dunstan also says that the county would not have such a diverse businesses climate without the enterprise zone. Timetables for each project have not been released.
