Volunteers will be working on a stretch of the Great River Road, picking up trash tomorrow morning beginning at 10:00.  Volunteers will meet at the Clifton Terrace Park in Godfrey and just up river at the foot of Stanka Lane.  The Sierra Club's Virginia Woulfe-Beile says this is a good time of year for a clean-up.

Woulfe - Beile comments

The Sierra Club is one of several organizations that conducts clean-ups throughout the year on the Great River Road, which is designated a part of the Great Rivers National Scenic Byway.  Volunteers are responsible for providing their own work gloves, trash bags, layers of warm clothing and reusable water bottles.  You can call 462-6802 to pre-register, or just show up.
