Flooding on the Mississippi River appears to have stabilized. In Alton, Third Street between Piasa and State Streets has been a bit moist, but most of the water there is coming from flooded basements being pumped out. State and Broadway remains closed, as does Riverfront Park and the Argosy Casino.
The Feed The Need Concert is not the only event at the amphitheater to be affected by this flood. It has been moved to Alton Square Mall. The June 14 "Changes in Latitude" tribute to Jimmy Buffet Concert has been cancelled. Dan Herkert, Alton Chief of Staff and City Council Liason says they are keeping a close eye on the facility:
The flood level predictions could change, as there is rain forecast for today and tonight, and more rain has fallen to the north as well.
