The mild weather brought out another nice crowd to First Night Riverbend 2012 at Lewis and Clark Community College for New Years Eve. The 17th annual celebration of the arts featured musicians, ice carvers, magicians, face painters, lots of hands on activities for kids, and two fireworks shows at 9pm and Midnight.
Master Illusionist Keith Jozsef (pictured) was celebrating his 20th year of performing by appearing at this years First Night, and put on two entertaining, Las Vegas style shows inside Hathaway Hall. Face painting was another big hit, along with hat-making thanks to the Godfrey Lions Club, and caricaturists just outside The Commons. The Riverbend Arena was the kid's venue with more than a half dozen stations with crafts, experiments and clowns. Dozens of volunteers helped put on the event, including members of the Lewis and Clark Baseball team who worked inside the arena.
