The new restroom-concession stand facility at the Glazebrook park ballpark in Godfrey will be open for the coming spring sports season, according to the Director of the Village's Park & Recreation Department. The Village entered into a loan agreement with Madison County last year to get the funds for the new facility at the park on Stamper Lane at an interest rate of 3-percent, and the building will be in service in time for the hundreds of kids playing baseball and softball to use it.
Kimberly Caughran says a ribbon cutting will launch the season on May 3.

She says there will be no need to cross Stamper Lane to use the facilities on the north side of the road with this new facility opening. That will improve safety and convenience, according to Caughran.
