The Alton YWCA will mark the rebirth of its Children's Learning Center with a ribbon cutting ceremony next Tuesday at the facility on Third Street.  Improvements at the Children's Learning Center since August include a new mural, paint, activity centers, flooring, landscaping, a computer lab, and a mobile learning center with STEAM curriculum.

STEAM is like STEM, with the addition of Arts, according to YWCA Executive Director Andrea Lamer.  She tells The Big Z the STEAM curriculum has been a hit with the kids.
