If you can identify the suspect in a recent attack on an MCT Bike Trail, you could receive a $5,000 reward. The agency has offered the reward following the attack of an 18-year-old bicyclist who fell victim to an attacker the afternoon of June 24. MCT’s Managing Director says he doesn’t want this incident to sour the public on using MCT Trails.
The victim says she was biking along the Goshen Trail in Edwardsville last Tuesday afternoon when a man ran from the woods claiming he needed help for his friend. When the victim got off her bike, she says the man attacked her. The victim managed to escape without serious injury while the suspect escaped on foot. Edwardsville Police Chief Jay Keeven is asking anyone who may have been on the highly-used trail that day to call.

The suspect is described as a thin black male in his late teens, wearing a blue t-shirt, black shorts with a white vertical stripe and also had a drawstring backpack. If you know anything about the incident, call Edwardsville Police at 656-2131.
