The Macoupin County Sheriff’s Office hopes additional reward money will be the key to getting someone with information on a New Year’s Day murder in Woodburn to come forward.  34-year-old Cody Adams was killed at a home in the 3,000 block of Edwardsville Street by what witnesses describe as a masked intruder.  Police have yet to make an arrest in the case.

Macoupin County Sheriff Shawn Kahl tells The Big Z the additional reward money might move someone to come forward that wasn’t motivated to already.

Kahl says one witness described a dark colored full sized pickup truck in the area the morning of the murder that had never been seen in the area before.  If you have information that leads to the arrest and conviction of Adams’ killer, you could receive up to $3,000 from the Macoupin / Montgomery County Crimestoppers.  You can contact the Macoupin County Sheriff’s Office at 217-854-3135.
