If you are looking for a reason to get out of the kitchen and sample some of the area's cuisine, the Alton Regional Convention and Visitor's Bureau is bringing back a promotion called Alton Restaurant Week.  There are no passes for diners to buy, coupons to carry or cards to punch.   Lunch or dinner will be offered at a fixed price, at the participating restaurant of your choice between January 18 through the 27th.

Alton Regional Convention and Visitor's Bureau President Brett Stawar says it was a successful launch to the program last January.
