As the redevelopment of the former Wadlow Golf Course continues, as the Illinois Department of Transportation has reset a time and place for a public meeting regarding the project. Last month, IDOT released its Final Draft Environmental Assessment. Today, the agency will host the mandatory meeting to take public comment at Alton City Hall.
It's part of the 30-day public notice period for final review of the document, and given the regional nature of the project, you don't have to be a resident of Alton to be heard. Alton's Director of Development and Housing Phil Roggio says he is fairly satisfied with the progress being made.
This meeting was originally scheduled for last week, but was cancelled when severe weather swept across the state. If you can't make it to the meeting, you can see the project and make comment online through a link below. The meeting will be held from 4-7pm.
