An investigative reporter says he hasn’t seen anything out of bounds in a review of the governor’s appointment calendar that was finally released by the administration.

Illinois Times reporter Bruce Rushton says he wanted the April 2015 appointment calendar after Governor Bruce Rauner left a Holocaust remembrance  event early. Rusthon says an email didn’t produce any results. He then sued after the attorney general issued an opinion that the appointment calendar was a public record. Regardless, details about where the governor went were later revealed in the press.

“In an interview with the State Journal-Register last fall (Governor Rauner) said he was meeting with (Speaker Michael) Madigan and (Senate President John) Cullerton,” Rushton said, “and that’s memorialized as ‘leader meeting’ on his appointment calendar. That is what I was primarily interested in. The rest of it, I don't’ see anything that’s out of bounds.”

The calendar, available through the Illinois Times website, has names and times of appointments but phone numbers are redacted.
