Lewis and Clark Community College is celebrating it's largest class in history. A record number of students will be walking at the Commencement ceremony for the 44th year. More than 1,000 students have already met the requirements to graduate and 235 are expected to take part in graduation. Retiring Lewis and Clark Board of Trustees Member Dr. Ed Hightower will speak at the ceremony.
Dr. Hightower is known nationally as an NCAA division I basketball referee and is also the superintendent of the Edwardsville School District. LCCC Vice President for Enrollment Services Kent Scheffel tells The Big Z they expect a big turnout with families as well.
