Dry conditions in Illinois appear to have dwindled as a result of the rains earlier this week. State Climatologist Jim Angel says slow moving low pressure systems are fairly common for November, and this last one dumped about two to nearly four inches of rain on Illinois.

Some counties along the Illinois - Indiana border received one to three inches of rain. Angel says there have been some worries about soil moisture, but that the two days of steady rain should help.
